3 Principles of Survival.

Surviving The Equatorial Rainforest of Malaysia - for the Ordinary People.

Tokwan’s 3 Principles of Survival.
I have always believe in order to survive, a person should have:-
1.    Strong Mental Strength - ability to remain calm and overcome fear.
2.    Good Common Sense - able to make the right life saving decisions.
3.    Being Prepared
a.    Knowledge
b.    Skills
c.    Tools/Equipment
Let’s talk about each attributes briefly.
1.    Strong Mental Strength – and I mean REALLY STRONG mental strength. It helps you to be able to remain calm. When you are lost, being panicky and screaming will not help you. The longer you are unable to overcome panic, fear and desperation, the more time you lose to ensure your survival. In a survival situation, panic can kill or become the main factor that failed you. Panic attacks are the worst enemies at this time. Overcoming these natural shortcomings, will make the possibility of your survival better.

Conducting Survival Classes allows me to practice and learn more.
2.    Good Common Sense – A good and close friend of mine, Nadir, who owns and runs Outdoor Dynamics Sdn Bhd, the best outdoor shop in Penang said “If you do not have common sense, stay home!” This is one of the main attribute, the numero uno item that you will need to survive. It is the most important survival tool! This is what enables the survivalist to make plans, look for alternatives, be creative and make sound decisions which would enable the survivalist to take the best lifesaving actions and most probably come up with the better resources.
My Prepared Survival Must Haves.
Being Prepared – it helps the survivalist to be prepared with the needed knowledge, skills and tools. Making the possibility to survive,  better and longer. Being prepared makes each survival task achieved easier with better results. The knowledge allows the survivalist to think, observe and plan. The knowledge to know what to bring or pack, to have the correct tools in your backpack and your pockets, to prepare yourself for the worst. The skills such as being able to identify and use the natural resources, the skills in bush crafting, allowing the survivalist to be able to make a decent shelter at a safe location, and easily make the much needed fire . With the knowledge to know where to find water and the skills to get and process the water to be drinkable will help the survivalist remain alive. Again with regular or frequent practice, with the skills garnered being second nature, the survivalist with such skills will have a decent chance of getting out of the survival situation successfully and comfortably
Being prepared with the correct tools and equipment, saves time, energy and gives you comfort when you are in dire straits.
